Sent the RTI Queries

On Saturday 23rd Jul, 2011 I consolidated the RTI queries and sent them to the SC Railways, HMDA, Cyberabad Police Commissionerate and APSRTC.

It was a unusually long queue at the Madhapur post office. Had to buy the IPOs first, fill them up, attach them to the corresponding letters, fill in the acknowledgments and again stand in the queue to get them sent by registered post.

Cost of IPO - Rs. 11

Cost of registered post - Rs. 25

Total for all the 4 letters Rs. 144.

Let us hope we get a proper response on all the queries.

We are not alone in this initiative. Yesterday I got a comment for the RTI Letters post and found the facebook page http://www.facebook.com/letsgetitdone

Now to start acting on some of the wonderful comments I received, I prepared the letter I am going to send to the Railway and HMDS officials asking them information about this project.

Soon after I posted this in my office I was blasted with replies appreciating me for the initiative. Thanks to all for your support.

Avg how much time we are spending there in jam daily – 1hr , becomes worse if it rains , may be you put it like, to cover 7km we spend 30min at this bridge and rest of the ride takes few mintues.
So many ppl are wasting imp time, fuel …

Regarding suggestions (not really sure if that can be accommodated in the request),if I may also ask you to include the pollution and fuel consumption aspect during the waiting period in a time when the fuel prices are sky rocketing and the effects of pollution on the health of the citizens.

Your idea is good, please add this statement “ if the govt doesn’t have sufficient funds to complete the project, let public know that by govt. we can collect the funds by begging in the streets and give it to the govt.” govt should feel shame after reading this statement.

Hitec City MMTS Station flyover

I am planning to write a letter to the concerned authorities that include the CM of AP, Director of South Central Railways, MLAs of Kukatpally and Lingampally, Mayor of Hyderabad and the commissioners of GHMC and HMDA, asking them to speed up the construction of the Flyover at HiTec City MMTS Station. I’d like to get your comments/suggestions on the contents of the document(Click Here to see the document) to make it express our concern more effectively. Please feel free to review this document and post back your comments.

The actual plan is to publish the contents on a public website and get all the victims of this mess to post a copy of this letter to the above authorities. So please help me with this.
